Free and Cheap things to do around Disney World

Getting into the Disney Parks is going to cost you, but there are tons of fun things for families to do outside of the parks and on Disney Property for that cost close to nothing or are even free!

Some of the best places to find hours of entertainment include:
 

At Disney’s Boardwalk resort non Disney Guests can request a free 3 hour parking pass from the lot security to tour around the property and spend time roaming the ‘Boardwalk’.

-Just walking along Disney’s Boardwalk you’ll be delighted and entertained by various street performers including comedians, jugglers, fire-eaters.  These various and free performances occur throughout the day

-At night you just might be able to hear Fantasmtic from Disney’s Hollywood Studios or even catch a glimpse of Epcot’s Illuminations light Show.

If you’re looking to do something in the afternoon, Downtown Disney is full of things to see and do and parking is free!

Check out the various shops and stores located in Downtown Disney such as:

– The Lego Imagination Center has a 3,000 square foot play area outdoors that make up amazing Lego sculptures that are great for photo opportunities. The kids will love walking around the world’s largest Lego Store.  Best of all it’s free!

You can also browse the Virgin Megastore for Music, Movies and video games galore, as well as take a stroll next door to the movie theatre or even catch a free magic demonstration at the Magic Masters Shop.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is well known for its exotic animal viewing areas. Best time to check out the animals is around Dusk Time.

There is a free tour you can take at the Wilderness Lodge and go on a hidden Mickey Hunt throughout the resort.

Fort Wilderness Lodge has a free petting farm during the daytime for families as well as nature trails.

You can check out Magic Kingdom’s Wishes Firework show from various places around Disney World such as the Grand Floridian Boat Dock or from the California Grill restaurant at the Contemporary Resort.

There are many other things you can do to pass the time around the resort such as ride the monorail between parks throughout the Magic Kingdom area.

You can take free boat rides available to anyone with a Disney multi-day pass or resort guests.
